Based on the 1941 classic, this werewolf-themed horror film set in Victorian England centers on Lawrence Talbot (Benicio Del Toro), an American man who, upon a visit to London, gets bitten by a werewolf. Talbot had come to England to make amends with his estranged father (Anthony Hopkins), but after a moonlight transformation leaves him with a savage hunger for flesh, family harmony is the least of his worries.

Wow... It was scary, sad, disappointing and had a lame ending... While there are way worse remakes, it still was kinda lame. Reminds me of The Hulk. Remake after remake, still nothing epic.
If you are a hardcore fan of werewolf stuff then i think this movie suits you the best.After 'American werewolf in London' this is the best movie i have seen so far made on werewolf.I could have liked it more but something was missing in the whole plot and i haven't figured it out yet what was it.The actress was beautiful and so was Talbot.Making a movie on a classic novel or theory is always a difficult job and many directors don't even touch such situations except if they are new to the movie industry but salute to this director he took the whole plot to a new level and looking overall i loved this movie.
I've seen worse but this movie definitely could have been made better. It seems as though the director was in a fix as to give importance to which aspect of the film. The thought to play down the superstitions of the victorian era tavern crowd was good. But the special effects were somewhat below expectatios though good. Then the acting prowess of the actors was not fully utilized.
i saw it and was a good movie to have some fun, specially in time when all movies was about vampires
I went to see tis movie waiting for disappointment but it was a very good stand alone film while paying homage to the classic.Watch this if you get the chance
